ACS Barker Carnival!

What does it mean to be a true Acsian? Giving back to the school though you've graduated!

Back in 2005, our class 4B1 had a chin chow store.. and boy did they love our chin chow..

4 years on.. I emailed the school asking for a store space and hence, came out our upgrade into a orange mixer store. Basically, it's cordial orange juice mixed with 7-up. A pretty common mix.

We called our store, Orange-Up!

We had a few tricks up our sleeve.. one was by Tong who suggested we put a beer can and a small vodka bottle in front so attract the "wannabes youngsters".. and it worked! A lot of em wanted to try our "alcoholic" mix.. haha nice one Tong!

Our store was pretty make-shift. Most stalls had nice banners, table cloths etc but ours had NOTHING.. just a cooler box storing our orange juice and some A4 paper with our store sign hahah!!

Met a lot of old teachers too and guess what! They remembered me!! One even said " Hey Keith! the one with neat hand-writing!! " hahha!

Overall, we had LOADS of fun.. have to admit, we spent some of the coupons we collected on ac souvenirs and games heh.. ops! I won the top prize at a shooting contest too.. thank you SAF! Thanks Zach, Yvette and Tong for helping out at the store!

ORD Dinner

Before i enlisted, all the guys from church had a pre-enlistee dinner. Now, this is our ORD dinner! We decided to go to Plaza Market Cafe at Fairmount. Had the discount of my feed at raffles card heh! Overall, the food was average.. typical Peranakan and Singaporean dishes.. just a little more atas i guess. Company was great though!

My ORD ;)

I still remembered the first day i enlisted. 11 Jan 2008. The day i was assimilated into the military and my pink IC stolen from me. I thought to myself, when was this ever end. 1 year 10 months to go. I never thought this day would come.. but hey! it's finally here!!!

For the benefit of civilians, i was an Armour Infantry Trooper / BX Driver ( It's like a Tank ) / Docu Clerk in my 2 years. Training was hard and i had to endure many obstacles such as the outrageous Armour outfields and SOC.. but i pulled through!!

SOC timing 8.35.. dont mess!!!

I did a few stuff before I orded. Did my FFI, apparently im fit for reservist hence, i'll be posted to my own unit with the old hawk guys! I'm actually looking forward to reservist.. call me crazy but I am!!

Wrote my farewell speech on the OA, sent to everyone including beloved CO. Thanked my 2 OCs, CPT Alroy and CPT Leonard for their absolute support in the Unit. Bought for them a harmonicas each haha! I was like, you can play it during outfield! :) Bought for HQ/Hawk Coy butter cookies too.. endure guys!!

Wanna thank all my friends in 41 SAR too. From the pranks to the chao kenging, choing sua and toilet cleaning.. i enjoyed myself!

A man i am now.. thanks SAF! Now, to carry on my civilian conversion course and get rid of the 2 years rot in my brain!

Golf, my new hobby

I'm now at my 5th golf lesson and am enjoying every bit of it! I've definitely improved my swing and now, we've moved on to the 3,5 woods! So much different from the irons.. oh and i lost my range card again.. ARGH... i left it at the machine and this is the 2nd time!!! I'm superbly pissed. I mean like come on! This is a CLUB.. if you see a range card at the machine, put it on top of it or turn it in!! Don't steal it!!!!! I lost $70 bucks in total!

You know those golf channels on your cable which you don't even watch? I've been watching every single one of em! Now i know how good Tiger Woods is!! He's like the God of Golf! Great Sport!!

Our new Small Group! Sadly, Sensibles has to end after it's 8 year reign.. we were a strong group but due to people flying off overseas etc, our numbers dwindled to 7!

Hence, a 3-way merger was called! Sensibes/ Mad Victory / G.A.Y.

We're called GoogleGod now! GoogleGod stands for searching for God! ( Google = search )

I really see a lot of potential in this group. Happy to see people stepping up to bond the group.

Mentorship by Joyce is great too. Her daughter is just so cute.

41 SAR Battalion Anniversary / My pre-ord!

4 more days to my ord.. and what better way to celebrate it with my battalion! 41SAR went over the cheverons, "our club" and had a day of inter company games and a buffet lunch. No one wanted to participate in the pool games.. slackers! outside camp also wanna chao keng eh.. soo, me being the ording personal, volunteered myself and my branch haha.. and we had an awesome time!

JJ also got us these ord imprinted tees.. our whole branch wore em.. kinda cool eh. We went over the btp for pool after. It was 2-2 Me against Jon Low :D.. not bad eh.

Good food, great company, fun games, out of camp.. what more can i ask for :D

Learning Golf

My first golf lesson! Signed up with kenneth at keppel club to learn golf. See how my strokes are so wrong hahah! This was a video analysis done by the golf pro. Good fun!
