And the post exam celebration carries on.. Shuang, Pei Lyn, Jon, Junx and I went to check out Shu's recommended place (which she pangsehed at the last min), The Aviary. It's a restaurant cum bar on the 1st level and a rooftop bar on the 2nd. Pretty nice ambiance! We had a good catch up session there and played our favourite game.. shoot,shag marry.. hmm.. interesting answers from the girls haha!

When I missed this event last year, I told myself.. I freaking have to go for it in one's year time (yeah its an annual event).. so here it is! Guys Night Out 2011! Ok some of you might be like, wth's gno.. some gay night?! YESSS sometime like that!!

We all get uniformed tee shirts. This year shirt showed the evolution of men. From ape to ape-man to human to human drinking and puking.. yeap thats us right at the end of the cycle! We start the night with pre drinks at the student lounge.. Tim was going around with his bag of goon, flushing it into everyone's mouths.. picture below haha. I like cheapos on alcohol! goon is soo cheap. After everyone's drunk and high, we get onto our party bus woots! Freaking awesome bus yo. party lights, music and dancing lol.. then if off to a club hop man.. sadly, we did look like gay with our red tees.

One of the formal dinners at Currie Hall. This time, the stage was set right smack in the middle. A unique setting but awkward at times as their asses were facing some. Theme was.. um actually I can't rmb.. something to do with that mask below haha. weird. Food was soo average.. please set aside more budget for food! There wasnt any wine which is normal for formal dinners.. hmm. Then again, its the company which counts ;)

After seeing the success of many stores at the last annual Spring Feast, which is an event where students set up stalls to sell food/drinks on campus.. we decided to set our own one.. not just 1 but 3! more profits haha! A roti prata, drinks and fried food stall. Profits werent too bad.. our prata stall had the longest queue in the feast!

Im back at Margaret River again! I cant NEVER get sick of this place. Its so peaceful and takes your mind off work. A much needed break after the exams. We rented a mini cooper.. all I can say about is that its the most powerful car i've ever driven. My back's practically stucked to the chair when I step onto the gas.

The house we rented was fabulous.. it was isolated on a hill facing the breach. Went horse riding, wine tasting, chocolate factory.

Taiwan with Shawn and Kenneth! SQ return tickets for $390! Eat, Play, Club. The night markets were a great experience. You can get all sorts of crap there. From food to underwear you name it. What's a sem without a roadtrip? This time we're heading up NORTH!

5 hours drive to Geraldton where we stayed for 3 nights. 2 hours drive to Kalbarri for a day trip. You see, I have this sick thing for road trips.. the adventure, getting lost, overtaking monster long trucks, driving on dirt roads.. you name it.

Apart from Tim Sng's infamous driving, thankfully all our drives were safe. No offense Tim.. you made the trip fun ;)

Our summer break in Singapore was getting a lilll long soo, we wanted to try something different.. something, non-singaporean? we hence found the forest adventure at bedok reservoir! It's basically a 2 and a half hour long tree top obstacle course. Cost about $36 each. Flying foxes, tarzan jumps etc. Good fun!

A splendid evening with some of my closest ac friends, celebrating Serene's 21st. The deco was somewhat like a tea-party concept. With bits and pieces of figures/jewellery around. Justin booked a suite in mbs for her. First time going to mbs! It looks so grand and um majestic? Is that the word for it hahhah.

Went up to the sky garden as well. The view captures Singapore's entire skyline. Makes the ferries wheel seem so small.. but i felt its nothing impression tho. Not sure why it's called a sky garden, I expected a loads of flowers and plants butttt.. yeahhh.. not much up there hey.

Party was awesome. Food was delicious, esp the home made potato salad. Some dancing games towards the end.. Zac's "army saluting" dance move was hilarious. Great night boys!

Serrangang Medical Mission Trip

Serrangang is located in the rural side of Bintan. Its a small village facing the sea where a majority of the population lives on houses supported by stilts above the water. The young adults in my church provides medical cover as a way of evangelism to the locals there. They'll head down once every 3-4 months as that is usually the time their medication starts to run out. The population consist of mainly Chinese who speak in a mixture of dialects. The Chinese tend to live nearer to the shore on these water-houses while the Muslims live further inland.

The trip was a short 2D1N but it was an eye-opener for me. The village had horrible medical cover. Doctors there dont even deserve to be called Doctors! Many of the patients come in with wrong prescriptions from their local practitioner. Some of their illnesses are so chronic that we cant do anything too. Its pretty sad but i guess we cant help much. Our clinic was set up in the local church my church helped to fund. We had 2 doctors with us and I was dispensing medicine. We attended their service and i was touched by their songs in Bahasa and Hokkien. God is working through the villages! Its amazing to see Malays attending the church too. The Holy Spirit can work through all ppl! We just have to plant the seed :)

My long awaited 21st Birthday partaee! hahah. It's been ages since i've thrown a birthday party. Couldnt miss my 21st for the world. Truly enjoyed myself! Turn out was fantastic. Thanks to my brother and female cousins for doing the deco. I originally had no deco planned. Was thinking of a chill-out gathering.. but thankfully, there was intervention.

The hired photographers were pretty cool. They went around the house taking photos and had unlimited instant prints for them. Some of the photos are below. Figured i needed something unique to the party so i called down Saybons French Crepes! They had this guy come down to fry fresh french crepes for the guest.. all sold out within like 30 mins.. nuts. thankfully i got 2 haha. They have an outlet in Plaza Sin's basement.. can check it out!

Oh and i finally get presents that are worth opening. All the years of towels, under wears, bodyshop.. agony agony.

Ahhhh.. i'm back sooo soon.. 2 weeks ago, i was pretty excited about going back to Perth.. but as the date draws nearer, im dreading it! The next time im seeing my family and friends will be late nov! So tonight, some of us decided to check our Resorts World Sentosa! I only went to Universal Studios and didnt really had time to check the rest out soooo, dinner there tonight sounded great! Kenneth, Shawn and I met Jame and Claire at the universal studios rotating globe.. took some pictures before walking around the place and finally deciding on this restaurant called Chillies.. it serves south american food.. whatever that is.. similar to hardrock cafe i guess? The wait was pretty long.. so we went around again, exploring the atrium. Nothing much i have to say, just bars and restaurants in resorts world.. too hyped up by the media.. We had a lot of fun taking photos around the resort tho.. and the wait for Chillies was worth it! I've never tasted some good ribs before.. even better than tony romas which i had the night before heh.. will definitely go back there again once im back in nov!

Mambo is one of Singapore's icons and a must do when you're back.. but somehow, mambo seems different this time. The music was a let down. The dj keep changing tracks as the crowd wasn't too happy. The music played wasn't very well mixed and phuture was overcrowded. I thought they introduced some quota for phuture but now, it seems that they're letting everyone in. No one's dancing in mambo or phuture. They're either making out or just standing around in the dance floor. Thankfully i had good company. Cheers for a good night!

Universal Studios!!

I can finally say i've been to Universal Studios Singapore!! Found it to be very average. I could like see the end of the themepark from the starting point! The rides werent very thrilling too. Overall, it was still fun i guess.. taking photos with all the fake shops and mascots.. cheering people on rides.. hahah.. it's good for a place like Singapore which has so little entertainment around!

A group of boys decided to go explore Vietnam in July.. here's what happened.. im too lazy to narrate the whole trip so this is just some of the places we went :)

Day 1

Arrived at Ho Chi Minh City at 0930am. Took a cab and checked into Kingston Hotel. Got a free upgrade to a suite. You should have seen Shawn's face when this was mentioned :)

First destination was Chinatown aka "Cholon". We visited the market there. They sold loads of rubbish.. there were loads of stock on the floor and everyone was busy unpacking.. it seems that Friday's stock taking day.

After the market, we walked almost the whole Chinatown looking for food but to no avail.Either we were in the wrong side of Chinatown or Chinatown in Saigon sucks. None the less, we decided to cab down to the War Remnants Museum to see how life in the Vietnam war was like. We gotta take note that the Vietnam war was just in the 1960s!

Day 2

We booked a 1 day Mekong River tour through our Hotel. Cost about USD$20 a pax.

Even though we were soo tired, we had to try Vietnam's nightlife. The bus brought us back to our hotel at about 6pm. We had dinner, rested and slept a lil before heading to this popular vietnam club called, Gossip Club. We made quite a few friends there. I'm apparently popular with Vietnam girls haha! Beer there is cheap too! $3 outside and $5 inside a club for a Tiger Beer.

Day 3

I had planned a meeting with the parents of my viet friend from Perth. They brought us to this really really good eatery near our hotel. They bought a few salty vietnamese dishes which were sooo tasty. Could tell they put a lot of seasoning but it's still good! Then, they brought us to Ben thah market! The market closest to our hotel but we havent been in it yet. I bought this cool korean looking wig and all of us bought other rubbish to bring back to Sg.

Day 4

Ben thah market again in the morning to pick up last minute stuff.. checked out at 12pm and went to parkson. This uptown shopping mall. Last stop was hardrock cafe before heading to the Airport for home sweeeeet home.. :)

Hosted my youths gathering at my place. It was pot-luck. Mag and I were worried that they'll end up buying snacks instead of bringing food.. but we ended up with too much! It was a great night of fun and fellowship. I warned them not to play any dirty games in my house.. BUT somehow... yes somehow.. there was a miscommunication and the message became you can spray whip cream but just not on Keith.. Ethan was the victim.. he got sprayed on by the girls in my porch. The girls saw me cleaning up and felt sorry.. they gave me this fruit cocktail made into the word s-o-r-r-y.. aw so cute hahah. thanks girls! Finally, i ended the gathering with this game i thought of. I connected my lap top to the tv and played this video i found on youtube. It comprises of funny video scenes and you're not suppose to laugh when watching it. Good fun!!

Rockclimbing at Yishun Safra.. Cheap and it's enjoyable! My small group was talking about organizing a climb during bible study on Wednesday.. thats how it materialized. Although the turn out from my small group wasnt great, i invited my Perth friends to join! Char, Ting yi and Jon went! We had a great time man.. Jon was some flexible dude. His legs were like rubber.. grabbing rock from rock. We must go there again!

Me being such a nice and caring ex leader, decided to call my ex youths out for lunch after church. I told Julia to organize and i must say, she did a fine job ;). The turn out was pretty big! We settled for pasta mania after much contemplation.. there was a lot of whispering during the lunch and i felt something was wrong.. they were planning something against me hahah.. and they really did do something horrible .. they sprayed whip cream on me! My wonderful small group GoogleGod, after finding out i'm only back in Sg for a month, decided to fully utilize my house to the max! Hence, my first weekly bible study in the group was at my place! Time really flies. It's been one sem and i'm 1/6 through my uni life in Perth. I've had an amazing experience so far and the Currie Hallers have definitely contributed most to it. You guys have been a great bunch of friends! I'm looking forward to what we can do next sem! Until now, we have to complete this bingo game in Singapore. French Cafe!

I won a prize to go to this french pastry cafe near broadway during the recent France Global Cafe . Met up with Shuang who had also won and went to the front entrance to meet the other "winners" hahha. The pastries were awesome!! Tasted the best Croissants ever.. Janet taught us why french women are always so slim. They take 5 mouthfuls per meal, each tasting a different item. Anything beyond that will ruin the taste. Just enough to make it a delicacy :)
